LaRona Elaine Bennett Hughes, 56, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Bennett; mother-in-law and husband, Joyce and James Wyatt; father-in-law and wife, Evans and Ernestine Hughes.

She was employed by Marquis Industries in Chatsworth.

Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Jerry Hughes, of the residence; a daughter and son-in-law, Deonna and Gerry Crider of Tunnel Hill; father, Julian Bennett Sr. of Dalton; brother, Julian Bennett Jr. of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Anita Bennett of Resaca; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Charles Crump and Austeen and Ray Allen, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Courtney and Lee Thomas, Garrett Crider, Blake Crider, all of Tunnel Hill; great-grandchild, Landon Thomas; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Bledsoe and the Rev. Clyde Painter officiating.

Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Blake Crider, Garrett Crider, Chris Crump, Kevin Allen, Stuart Allen and Robbie Weber.
