Mrs. Frances West Ray, 61, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Stanton and Annie Lou Kenner West and was preceded in death by her brother, Orville West; father-in-law and mother-in-law, R.V. Ray Jr. and Jewel Ray.

Frances was of the Baptist faith and was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Vernon Ray of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Lamar and Michelle Ray of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Ricky Lowe, Kathy Walker, Helen Smith, Dorothy and Gordon Lawless and Marcie Grant, all of Dalton, Rachel and Larry Warren of Ellijay, Doris Wade of Chatsworth and Deloris Holcomb of Tunnel Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hayden and Mildred West, Earl and Ellen West, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Ricky Ray, Jonathan Ray, Chris Cromie and Ruby Alvarado; stepmother-in-law, Leona Ray of Dalton; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Hamm and the Rev. Steve Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
