Mr. Larry Thomas "Blondie" Gravitt, 57, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday morning, May 27, 2009, at the Shepherd Hills Health Care Center of LaFayette.

Larry was born Dec. 30, 1951, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Johnny Perino and Flora Margaret Starks Gravitt.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Ann Gravitt.

Larry is survived by his daughters, whom he loved very much, Brittany Gravitt of Dalton, Jessica Sills and her husband, Eric, of Resaca; the mother of his children, Ruthell Gravitt of Dalton; brothers, Van Gravitt of Berea, Ky., Johnny Gravitt, Rick Gravitt and Donald Gravitt all of Dalton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Larry Thomas Gravitt are Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Minister Barry Etheridge and his cousin Billy Starks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
