Mr. James Lamar (Jimmy) Quarles, 51, of Dalton, died Monday morning, Nov. 27, 2000, at his home.

Mr. Quarles was born June 14, 1949 in Gordon County, son of the late Roscoe and Mattie Lou (Collis) Quarles.  Jimmy was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Quarles and a nephew, William (Tony) Quarles.  He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Josh and Rachel Quarles of Dothan, Ala.,  Beau Quarles of Surfside Beach, S.C.; granddaughter, Madisyn Tayler Quarles; nephew, Marty and Becky Quarles; great-nephew, Nathannel Quarles; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. T.R. Etheridge and Rev. Thurman Hightower officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
