Mr. Edmond Farris Ledford, 63, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Edmond was born Dec. 5, 1949, in Whitfield County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Frances Louise Ledford.

Edmond was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Edmond is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Velma Iline and Charles Brown of Dalton; aunts, Bennie Wilbanks of Dalton, Betty Talley of Dalton, Leota Rawlings of Mableton and Moniree Ledford of Clayton.  Edmond is also survived by special friends, James Stone of Dalton and Linda and Reed Gee of Dalton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Edmond Ledford will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Cantrell and Pastor Michael Cook officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
