Clay Dover

Clay Lewis Dover, 59, of Chatsworth, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Hamilton Medical Center.

He is the son of Mrs. Louise Dover and the late Burrell Cecil Dover.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Dover.

Survivors are his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy Dover; brothers and sisters-in-law, Crafton Dover and Charlotte and Tim Dover and Kellie, sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Glen Stancill, Ann Williams, Wanda Dover and Brenda and Terry Self; nieces and nephews, mother-in-law, Betty Banks, and a host of friends.

He was a member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church.  He was employed at Looptex Inc.  He loved to play and teach tennis and ride motorcycles.

Pallbearers are Wesley Dover, Evan Dover, Mike Smith, Jonathan Hare, Alan Stancill, Jack McGill, Marty Banks and David Williams.

A celebration of his life is Friday at 2 p.m. at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Water Hare, the Rev. Crafton Dover, the Rev. David Eaton and the Rev. Danny Cochran officiating.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m.
