Debbie was my best friend from the second grade through high school. I'm not sure that I would have been able to survive those difficult teen years if she had not been there for me. We lost touch over the years, but when I heard that she was not well, I planned, postponed, planned to visit her. One day soon thereafter, the morning newspaper brought me the news that she had passed. I greatly regret that I was too late to personally tell her how much her friendship had meant to me. I cherish my fond childhood memories of Debbie and so many others. Linda Miller Landen, June 7, 2012
