Mr. Donald L. "Donnie" Oliver, 56, of Rutledge, formerly of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 in the Newton Medical Center.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Donald Z. and Juanita C. Oliver.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila B. Oliver of Rutledge; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelaine and Scott Hawkins of Rutledge; grandchildren Kaitlin Hawkins, Victoria Hawkins, Gatlin Hawkins of Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Gloria Oliver of Dalton; mother-in-law Pauline Philips of Dalton; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Edwin Puckett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.  A white dove ceremony will follow.

The family will receive freinds at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
