Mr. Don Benton Greeson, 56, of Tunnel Hill, departed this life Sunday morning, January 17, 2010, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.

Don was born March 18, 1953, in Gordon County, a son of the late J. D. and Will Nell Thornbrough Greeson.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, David "Slim" Greeson, and a sister, Ellen Greeson.

He is survived by his brother, James Greeson of Tunnel Hill; sisters, Phyllis Fowler of Chattanooga and Lillian Benton of Chatsworth; half-brother, Morris Etheridge of Atlanta, Texas; aunt, Flonnie Edwards of Chatsworth; uncle, Raymond Thornbrough of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Don Greeson are Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
