
Ms. Ellen Louise Greeson, of Dalton, departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at her home.
Ellen was born June 19, 1956, in Gordon County, the youngest child of the late J. D. and Will Nell Thornbrough Greeson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David "Buddy" Greeson.
Ellen worked many years at Shaw Industries in the accounting department and for the past 10 years was a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. Ellen was very proud of her career with Delta and had just received her golden wings. She was a very caring person and loved her friends dearly. Ellen was a member of Mount Rachel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brothers, Don Greeson of Dalton, James Greeson of Tunnel Hill and Morris Etheridge of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Lillian Benton of Chatsworth and Phyllis Fowler of Chattanooga; niece Connie Cordova; and her very special great-nieces and great-nephew, Brandy and Candace Lucero and Anthony Cordova; three nephews and other great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Pamela Brown, Patty Joyce and Danny Smith, all of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Ellen Greeson are Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with her pastor, the Rev. Marty Greene officiating.
She will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery.
Proudly serving as pallbearers will be J. J. Alford, Ken Coe, Jason Nobles, Danny Smith, Randy Brown, James Cagle and Gary Hale.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
