Freda Payne
Freda R. Payne, 54, passed away Saturday morning (August 25, 2012) at home in Kingston, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Dalton and graduated from Eastbrook High School.
She was preceded in death by parents, Agnes Wheat Payne and Floyd Payne; a brother, Wayne Payne; a nephew, Brent McDonald; and life partner, Randy Dailey.
Ms. Payne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Michael Smith of Kingston; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and April Thomas of Rome; sister and brother-in-law, Marylin McCleary and Larry Frogge of Cohutta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon and Verbie Caldwell of Hill City, and Trammell and Diane Caldwell of Dalton; five granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Freda leaves behind family, friends, and an array of people who love her.
God speed, my bestest friend!
A private memorial service is planned for a later date.
