Mr. Glen Dewey Cox Sr., of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday afternoon, November 15, 2015 at his home. Glen was born March 4, 1956, in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Paul Dewey and Minnie Ruth Greeson Cox. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Earl and Ida Cox, Luke and Eunice Greeson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dover Cox; sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Elizabeth Cox of Dalton, GA, Jason and Heather Cox of Rocky Face, GA, Glen Dewey Cox Jr. and Myleah Cochran of Rocky Face, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Chad Padgett of Dalton, GA, April and Greg Bramblett of Chatsworth, GA; brother, David Cox of North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Larry Jones of Chatsworth, GA; sixteen grandchildren, one great grandson on the way, nieces and nephews,
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Glen Dewey Cox Sr. will be held Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Kortney Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Sumach Cemetery in Murray County with Sean Cox, Jason Cox, Glen Cox Jr., Austin Cox, Mason Padgett, Jared Bramblett, and Kameron Bramblett serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
