Ms. Wanda Lynn Smith, 51, of Dalton, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at the Regency Park Health Care.

Wanda was born Feb. 20, 1960, in Whitfield County, a daughter of the late Troy Raymond Smith and Louise Mae Stephens. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Newton; and sister and brothers-in-law, Retha and Chester Ingle, and F.J. Brackett.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy Brown- Krahn; son, Jody Brown; grandchildren, Gavin Stone Brown, Deyonna Madison Brown, sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Frank Cronan, Betty and Steve Buck, Blanche and C.W. Bruce, Ruby Brackett all of Dalton, Rosetta and Eldred Adams of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Quinn and Ruby Smith of Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Wanda Lynn Smith will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Parker and Millie Simmons officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Center Valley Cemetery in Murray County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
