Mr. Martin L. Wood, 51, of Dalton, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Junior "Woody" Wood; grandparents, Charlie and Mildred Stanley, Lewis and Fannie Wood.

Martin is survived by his wife, Penny Wood of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Shaun and Tiffany Wood of Round Rock, Texas, Eric and Wendy Dunn of Crandall; stepsons and their wives, Nicholas and Katie Clark, Carl and Jessica Clark, all of Adairsville; mother, Grace Wood of Dalton; brother, Charles Edward Wood of Dalton; grandchildren, Skylar, Taylor, Michael, Morgan, Taylor, C.J. and Aubree; nieces and nephews.

Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Southerland officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday.
