Ms. Yvonne Diane Kernea, 55, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday evening, May 15, 2013, at her home.

Diane was born June 15, 1957, in Dalton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Spence; brothers, Danny and Tony Spence; and grandparents, Bob and Effie Young Spence, and Marion and Estelle Williams Hayes.

She is survived by her father, Jack Spence; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and James Davis; son, Adam Catlett; grandson, Jay Davis, all of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Yvonne Diane Kernea will be Saturday at 3 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Scott Winters and the Rev. Ricky Spence officiating.

Interment will follow in New Hope Kilgore Cemetery in Murray County with James Davis, John Hayne, Dennis Hayes, Joe Hayes, Marshall Hayes and Daniel Hayes serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
