Gary Eugene Hardin, age 58, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.  He was born on April 7, 1955 in Jacksonville, FL to the late J.C. and Louise Hardin.  Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, playing softball and anything to do with being outdoors as well as spending a lot of time with his nephews.  Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Hardin.

Gary is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, April Michelle Hardin Padgett and Chris Padgett of Chatsworth; the love of his life and mother of his daughter, Deborah E. Hardin of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Clifton and Sylvia Hardin of Tunnel Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Dennis Flowers of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Bryan Christian Stanley, Eugenia Michelle Stanley, Floyd Lee Padgett, Jason Padgett and Kyle Padgett; niece, Wendi Hardin Erdman of Gainesville, FL; nephews, Brent Flowers of Cohutta, Anthony Flowers of Tunnel Hill and J.C. Hardin of Rocky Face; and a host of cousins.

At his request, Gary was cremated.

A memorial service for Gary Eugene Hardin will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Whitton and Billy Starks officiating.  The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers donations will greatly be appreciated.  The family has entrusted independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S.
