Victor Martinez was a freshmen when his life ended tragically to a bb gun accident. I sat with him during lunch every day until one day he didn't show up. I didn't know a lot about him, just that we stuck together the first months our high school, during those awkward first moments. There were four or so of us that huddled together during lunch to avoid the overwhelming moments of HS. Jon Green, Kevin Hessel, Victor and myself, found each other each day in the mall and shared ourselves until we could find where we belonged. Victor was quiet, laughed at our jokes and I remember him as very dear soul. His smile was infectious and he had so much potential. He was the first death for the class of 1995. I will always remember him.
