Jocelyn Kowats

Joycelyn Kowats, age44, beloved wife of Donald J. Kowats, Jr. of Newtown, died unexpectedly February 25, 2010 at her home. She was born inBridgeport, December 3, 1965, a daughter of Gerald Cavaliere of Newtown and the late Linda (Roe) Cavaliere. Joycelyn was a teacher at Misty Morning Daycare Center in Newtown. She was an active member of A.A. Joycelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and boating. In addition to her hus-band and father, Joycelyn is survived by her daughters, Sarah Lyn and Kristina Lyn Kowats; and her stepmother, Merrilee Currier. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Lyn Kowats and by two brothers, Gerald Cavaliere, Jr. and Jeffrey Cavaliere. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
