Ms. Melissa Joy Melody, of Danbury, CT, born on April 17, 1963, passed away after long illness on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the age of 54.
Melissa was born to her parents Josephine and Arthur Melody Jr. (d) in Danbury, CT. She grew up with her five siblings and attended Danbury High School and Nichols College, Dudley, MA. She worked for Reader's Digest for 17 years, Coca Cola, and Kimber Manufacturing Inc. before becoming ill due to complications from diabetes.
Melissa is survived by her mother Josephine; sister Janet Smith; brothers Mark Rader, Arthur Melody, David Melody and Douglas Melody; 10 nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews. She was a friend to all and loved coordinating family events. She was active in her church and would put others first before herself.
Hull Funeral Home is taking care of the cremation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service that will be held on March 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Danbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Building Fund or American Diabetes Association.
