Maria Gokturk Maria Isabel Soares Gokturk, age 45 of Annandale, Va., wife of Ahmed Gokturk and devoted mother of Adem, Sara and Janan, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 22, 2008. Born January 10, 1963 in Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of Jose and Isabel Soares of Danbury; sister of Tony Soares and wife, Bela of New Milford, Fatima Doyon and husband, Bob of Danbury and MJ Chappy and husband, Zane of Naples, Fla.; daughter-in-law of Yasar and Edibe Gokturk of Istanbul, Turkey; sister-in-law of Sinan and Chris Gokturk of Annandale, Va., Omar and Birsen Gokturk of Istanbul, Turkey and Humeyra and Brian Letourneau of Satellite Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Isabel received her BS degree from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury and received a MBA in International Business from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
