Michael Davon passed away on August 9, 2000.
Michael was a quiet New Englander who was integral to the sustenance of HFA, the Hemophilia Foundation of America, from its inception and during its early years. Sadly but with great gratitude and thanksgiving, HFA honors Michael Davon with its community service award in his name. Each year, the HFA presents "The Michael Davon Community Service Award" for extraordinary service to the community via one’s national volunteerism and charitable giving.
Michael was the CEO of “Web-Depot.com” and generously hosted 15+ websites to provide an opportunity to give voice to those who were members of the community like him at no cost.
He was described as a man of extraordinary vision and compassion who offered infected community members like himself the opportunity to find that unique solidarity that comes as men with this shared condition.
Michael and his mother, Margaret, supported organizations that helped his hemophilia/HIV/AIDS brothers and other individuals as well. HFA was the beneficiary of his quiet philanthropy and financial support in the early days of the organization.
