Mr. David Borowy, 55, of San Francisco, CA was born in Chicago, IL July 10, 1956 and passed away July 08, 2012, at San Francisco, CA.
A friend likened David to the image of a hummingbird. In reflecting on this comparison, many similarities exist between the two. The hummingbird is the smallest bird with a backbone. David, although not small in stature but slight in frame, always paid attention to the smallest detail. He enjoyed and loved to do little things for older adults, friends and his animal companions. His small tasks had a large impact on the people and animals he enthusiastically helped. David flew around the garden with joy. Just as a hummingbird would feed off the succulents he was nourished, by the beauty of the flowers he planted. David had two modes. When fueled with enough chocolate and sweets he flapped his wings with the same vigor and speed of a hummingbird. Without enough fuel he would instantly hibernate. Reenergizing in the morning, claiming this to be his most productive time.
I took a photo journalism class with Dave my senior year. I didn't know. He lived in SF until after I had moved away from there .
