DAVENPORT -- Services for Arthur E. Honeycutt, a resident of Davenport, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at McGinnis, Chambers & Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Arthur died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his home, after a sudden illness. He had been employed at Block Heavy & Highway Products Co., Blue Grass, Iowa, since 1991. He was born Dec. 29, 1952, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of Arthur R. and Bertha E. (Lucas) Honeycutt. He was a 1971 graduate of Davenport West High School and had attended Scott Community College. He married Cheryl Ann Buffington on Oct. 26, 1991, in Davenport. Among the things he enjoyed were camping and fishing. In earlier years, he was a member of the Salvation Army of Davenport and helped with many of their activities and projects. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; his daughter, April Honeycutt, Phoenix; his sons, Blake and Dolan, both at home; his stepson, Cody Spurrier, Galesburg, Ill.; his grandchildren, Ellen, Marianna and Mario Jr.; his parents, Arthur and Bertha Honeycutt, Davenport; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Diane Honeycutt, Philadelphia, Mo., and Alan Honeycutt and Terry and Lisa Honeycutt, all of Davenport; his grandmother, Sylvia Lucas, Emden, Mo.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Maggie Honeycutt and Henry Lucas.
