DAVENPORT -- Memorial services for Richard L. Housley, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. There will be no visitation. A private inurnment will be held at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Housley died on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Richard LeRoy Housley was born on May 15, 1953, to Francis and Verda (Wenger) Housley in Davenport. He married Marie E. Serrano on Dec. 5, 1997, in Davenport. He retired from the City of Davenport due to failing health where he had worked many years with the Sewer Maintenance Department. Survivors include his mother, Verda Housley, of Davenport; his wife, Marie Housley, of Davenport; one daughter, Evaline Housley, and one stepson, Karl Johnston, both at home; one sister, Georgia (Mrs. Gary) Bower, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; one brother, Craig (and his wife, Donna) Housleym of Walcott, Iowa; and several nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in February 1990. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the family to further the children's education.
