Michael Madden

DAVENPORT - Michael W. Madden, 56, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, died on Monday, February 1, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport following a sudden illness.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born September 19, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Charles M. & Nora M. (Fee) Madden and was a graduate of Davenport West High School. On March 9, 1985, he was united in marriage to Pat A. Cale in Davenport.

Mike was employed as a foreman for Quad-City Kenworth of Rock Island for twelve years.

He was an avid car buff and was a member and treasurer of the River Valley Classic Car Club. Among the things he enjoyed were fishing, attending car shows and tinkering with his classic Buick in the garage.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pat; his daughter, Nancy Oliver of Bettendorf; his sons, Christopher (Amy) Madden of Moline, and Cale Madden of Davenport; his grandchildren, Chad Hill and Kane Halverson; his sisters, Elizabeth (Richard) Malone of Bettendorf and Miona Morrell of Davenport; and his brother, Charles (Wanda) Madden of Dubuque.

His parents preceded him in death.
