DAVENPORT — Jo Quandt passed away in her home Nov. 14, 2014, in Davenport, at the age of 61, after a short battle with breast cancer.

Jolene H. Quandt was born June 20, 1953, in Davenport. She graduated from Davenport West High School. Jo was known to so many as their beloved “Aunt Jo,” whether by family or endearment. She was a kind and generous soul who treated everyone she encountered with love, respect and empathy.

Jo is survived by her sister, Pam Wearth (husband, Steve); brother, Mike Quandt (wife, Cindy); nieces, Christine Bissinger (husband, Peter, children, Hayden and Henry), Amy Day (husband, Jesse, son Austin); nephews, Mike Knuth (son, Jackson) and Andrew Quandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Quandt.

Jo had a fabulous network of friends, and enjoyed her volunteer work with Clarissa C. Cook Hospice and Gilda’s Club cancer support community. The family would like to extend special thanks to Jo’s good friends and neighbors, Craig and Sue Gabel.

A memorial service is scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 22, 2014, at Runge Mortuary Chapel. Her family will greet friends 11 a.m. until service time, with a reception to follow in the Runge community room. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Clarissa C.
