Funeral services for Marilynne D. Panozzo, 60, of Davenport will be 10 a.m Friday in the All Faith Chapel of Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., downtown Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Marilynne passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a cancer survivor and her final battle was brief.

Marilynne Diane Ramsay was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Davenport, the daughter of Robert Greer and Hazel Marie Louise (Koontz) Ramsay. She graduated from West High School in 1971. She married her husband, who was her best friend, Charles L. Panozzo, on Nov. 24, 1979, in Davenport.

Marilynne was a parent partner advocate through the Child Abuse Council of the Quad-Cities, a job that she was very passionate about.

She was an 18-year member of AA. She loved working in the garden, angels, spending time with her grandchildren, lattes, butterflies. But most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving Marilynne are her husband, Charles of Davenport; children, Justin Ramsay, Austin (Michelle Weber) Panozzo and Ashley (Kevin Mierley) Panozzo, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Damien, Makayla, Addyson, Sebastian and Savannah, and brothers, Robert “Butch” Ramsay and Craig Ramsay, both of Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Lilly Ann; brothers, James “The Beast” Ramsay, John Ramsay, and a sister, Barb Hatfield. May they rest in peace.
