DAVENPORT - Janice D. Stock, 58, of Davenport, passed away June 13, 2011, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, after a prolonged illness. There will be no visitation or services. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The Runge Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or The Edwin A. Janice was born on February 16, 1953, in Davenport, to Joseph and Dorothy (Fierce) Van Cleve. She married Perry V. Stock on May 9, 1980, in Davenport.

Janice enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the family walks that she organized each night after dinner. Janice also loved fishing. She met her husband, Perry, when he hired her as a babysitter and after several years they were wed. She always loved to tell that story.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 31 years Perry V. Stock; sons, Patrick ( Brenda) Stock, Camanche, Iowa, Nathan and friend (Jen) Stock, Davenport, Joshua and friend (Rachel) Driver, Milan, and "Toad" (Rose) Stock, Davenport; mother, Dorothy Van Cleve; brother, Darrell Van Cleve, Davenport; sister, Dotty Siebke, Milan; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her father, and brother, Joseph, son, Michael, and grandson, Eric, preceded her in death.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses at Genesis East and the dialysis center for their wonderful care of Janice and support for her family.
