In Memory

Timmy Floyd

In Loving Memory of Timothy J. Floyd

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS:

Dear Family and Friends,

Please be advised that I have moved. I received a call from God, my Heavenly Father, the other day and He informed me that my new home was complete. You all know that I have worked on my building sending up timber, packing up and getting ready to go. I knew my mansion needed some finishing touches and that the Chief Carpenter, Jesus Christ, had to inspect it and give me the final approval before Monday, February 8, 1999. He let me know that my mansion was completed and that I could move in. He told me to go and change my address.
Well, my new home is finished and what a sight to behold!!! It is located on an exclusive estate behind a beautiful gate. There is peace here, joy, happiness, no pain, no pills, no discomfort, ONLY SWEET SERENITY.

P.S. I won't have a telephone, but you can always call on God. If you don't know the number, read your bible, it is listed on every page.

Love Always,

Timothy J. Floyd
One Pearly Gate Heaven

Timmy (and his twin, Tommy) were in my kindergarden class at Highview(too). I always tried to sit around him (and his brother) because I had never seen twins. Throughout the years, at Patterson, and into our adult lives I called Timmy "Tommy". One day, I accidently called Tommy "Timmy" which is when I found out the sad news from Tom. He is missed.

I remember Timmy & Tommy from the neighborhood -- I have to be honest -- It was so hard for me to tell them apart :) -- I do remember, however, how sweet they both were and I would see them from time to time because they worked for Wheat. It is so difficult to imagine we will not make it to our reunion with all of our class. Timmy was a very sweet man.

Timmy and Tommy were probably the first people I met at Stivers. I was like, "Wow! twins! Back then we were put in homerooms according to our last name, so I remember it being The Floyd Brothers, Nadine Foreman, and me, Angi Foster.

I saw Timmy and Tommy many times over the years, they both always had a warm "Hello!"

I talked to their mother a couple weeks ago, and she is looking forward to spending some of the reunion with us, and grateful that we are remembering her son.

Wow. I have been wanting to post a message for some time now but could not bring myself to do it until now. I have known the Floyd boys since 6th or 7th grade when I lived on Lexington and we used to all play together. We used to all ride the JoyBus together too. Those were some fun times!!!!!! I could even tell them apart! One of the times I was on leave (mid 90s I think)I saw Timmy and we talked for a few minutes.....I never knew that would be the last time I'd see him. Timmy I miss your sense of humor and your smile. I will forever cherish the fun times we had..........
