Paul Rabinowitz

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Benjamin Rabinowitz on May 12, 2024 at the age of 67 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on December 5, 1956 in Rome, New York to Bob and Dorothy Rabinowitz. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patsy Snowden Rabinowitz; daughter Jenna Schwenk of West Chester; son Jared Rabinowitz of Campbell, California; grandchildren Liam Schwenk, Porter Schwenk, and Hudson Schwenk; brothers Scott Rabinowitz and Bruce Rabinowitz; sister Nancy Liebowitz; father-in-law, Austin John Snowden Jr.; sisters-in-law Patti Rabinowitz and Dana Geuy; brother-in-law Austin John Snowden III; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Paul was the founder and president of PBR Design, Inc., an architectural firm that designed assorted building types including commercial, religious, educational, residential, industrial, additions, and remodels. Projects he designed are sprinkled through Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Paul was also a key supporter of and counsellor to his wife’s business, West Chester Academy which provides music, dance, and gymnastics instruction to young students in the West Chester area. He designed the building that currently houses West Chester Academy as well as its previous buildouts and additions. Before his illness, Paul could frequently be seen circulating the lobby, classrooms, and parking lot to see if anyone—teachers, students, or parents—were in need of anything. He kept the electronics at the school in working order and ran the sound for literally hundreds of recitals and performances over the years. He was a behind-the-scenes person who made everything run flawlessly. He was a cheerleader of students and staff who always encouraged each one to do their best and to have fun in the process of learning and growing.

Paul was a strong Christian and an active member most recently of City Hill Church, Fairfield Township. Prior, he had served in various capacities at Tri-County Assembly for 30 plus years.
