Jodi Lynn McSwiney, age 65, of Beavercreek, passed away on September 7, 2022. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 20, 1957, the daughter of the late Clifford and Shirley Solberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James E. McSwiney; and her daughter, Kari McSwiney.

Jodi is survived by her loving daughter, Erin A. (Cody) Shields; grandson, Bo Shields; half-brother, Kurt Cain; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Susan) McSwiney, Pam (Steve) Miefert and Gary (Yung Oak) McSwiney; and many other loving family and friends.

Jodi retired from Beavercreek City Schools, where she worked in the Cafeteria for many years. She was also previously employed at the Nutter Center. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Bo, and cheering on her Cincinnati Bengals. Jodi was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. She had a very giving nature and was always a shoulder to cry on. She was a fighter until the very end. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
