Buc Break... Posted Tuesday, September 1, 2009 09:21 PM Hey guys, do you remember the famous sub sandwiches they served during Buc break? man, oh man... they were good! I had a hard time raising money to get one, so I would spit it with a friend. Those were the good ole' days! Just a thought... LOL |

RE: Buc Break... Posted Wednesday, September 2, 2009 07:23 AM Yeah, that's too bad. What was it like, 15 mins? I forget the reason why they created it. I think if any thing, the teachers needed the break more then us! *LOL* Maybe to take a smoke or something... *LOL |

RE: Buc Break... Posted Saturday, October 17, 2009 10:19 AM My son (MHS '09) says they had it the year before he started, then stopped. That would be about '04-05. It was Peanut Butter & Banana sandwich for me! |

RE: Buc Break... Posted Friday, December 11, 2009 07:48 AM I was one of the people who had to work those " Buc Break" concession stands!!! --- I remember trying to make sure all my friends gave me their order before break so i would have my list with their name , each item, candy, soda, hot dog, cold sandwich, etc.., with the price totaled up-- all ready to go ( coke in the cup- dont add ice until they are in front of you ). If there was hot food just turn to the person who is making that and say Out Loud i'm sorry I guess you didn't hear me or i thought i told you i needed 2 of those --- my order to you came in first those other people will have to wait until the next ones come up--- they always did it because alot of the times they would give me food orders for their friends also--- I was responsible for all the money at the end of break..., I also stocked before during and after everything that those huts could hold ( believe me , it was alot! ) the only thing we got for free working those stands was cola --- and mistakes--- or left over Very Cooked hot dogs that were supposed to be thrown away... the team of three or four of us learned fast to work together if we planned on getting our " mistakes" made right at the end of break--- Oh yes I remember Buc Breaks !!!!! |

RE: Buc Break... Posted Friday, December 11, 2009 07:56 AM Just so you know Abbie ( but thanks for the compliment anyway) --- We did not make those subs--- we picked up trays from the kitchen that had them already made. Damn if I know if they made them either ( I never saw anyone make them). they just opened up coolers and handed us out tray after tray that we carried to our hut. |

RE: Buc Break... Posted Wednesday, June 16, 2010 09:31 PM OK I have no recollection at all of this Buc Break! Must be forced amnesia. Sounds pretty great. Seems like I would have remembered a snack bar. We was so poor it probably never registered on my radar. John |
