Jerry and I were friends and neighbors since the 6th grade. Our famalies did alot of things together. We had great times camping at Disney World, at the Village pool and at alot of parties. I remember sneaking out my window with Jerry and Frank Davis when we were young. All we did was hang out, we were pretty good kids, but it was the most bold thing sweet Dawn had ever done. Jerry was a wonderful person and friend. I have always regreted that we were not close the years he was ill, we had just grown apart. I often see things that remind me of him and am grateful for the fond memories I have of our times together. I'm sad that he left us to soon. I miss you Gerald Evans Upson Jr. as I'm sure so many others do too.RIP

One of the things I remember about Jerry was his quiet sense of humor. As bag boys together at Publix, we were busy cleaning the floors in the back room when the Store Manager walked across them not caring how hard we were working and suddenly he slipped and busted his butt. The Asst. Manager ran over and threaten to fire us if we ever laughed or talked about it. So, the entire evening Jerry was cracking me up with his discreet comments on the incident. I couldn't even look at him because he had me laughing so hard.

Probably one of the best things about Jerry is that he made a dull class fun. He sure did give some of those teachers a run for their money and would sometimes get in trouble just so the rest of us could get a laugh. He was really funny and usually all smiles.

Jerry was a great friend, always willing to make you smile. I can relate to some of the things Dawn referred to as we all lived in the same neighborhood. It's a shame we have lost many friends, but Jerry finally has found peace with himself.

I remember Jerry was a funny guy he had a kind heart and we would skip class to take a late lunch break a few times. R.i.P Gone But Not Foregotten!!
