OH NO!! You guys have to let that go! That was 9th grade for the love of God! I did much cooler stuff in high school, unfortunately, I was expelled from school when I did it all...or was that the reason I was expelled? I can't recall. April, I am shocked that you're going back to work, not as shocked as I was when you said you were a psycholigist helping people (kettle) but I'm sure you have your hands full with the kids.

Regarding the kids, Noah is almost 9 years, Sean is 1 year and Abigail is 1 month. So you can see we keep pretty busy down here. As for shagging, I get to do that everyday in Florida! LOL It's just TOO COLD up there.

..and Hooker, I thought Dee Snider would be long gone by now, but he pops up everywhere on TV just to remind you I suppose..

I thought "shagging" was the term for sex. Is that only in England????

April Passen (Ochman)

Shagging is a term for sex, but as a teen it also meant holding on to the back of the bumper of a car, sleding off the snow. Sorry love ya all, but I have to play grown up now...And I'm a Social worker, not a psychologist nor psychiatrist.

Going to miss my senseless rambling time...hehe

Working with the developmentally disabled, reading these posts, isn't it similar April???

Stidham, I have told people about that costume. I have people that don't know you thinking you must have been the coolest kid in school.

Tina Turner told the audience at the concert last night that Detroit was the best audience.

Kate liked the tour of D7. She said the parts by the creek were scary and asked why the people hanging out there smelled like burning rope.

Do you remember the Cheap Trick concert on 'ON TV'?

How about watching the Tigers on PASS?

Holy Diver was on the I-POD this morning. Do yourself a favor, and listen to the title track and Caught In The Middle.

My cousins had ON tv and I was soooo jealous because they could watch star wars all the time.
I used to try to watch it scrambled on a little black and white tv in our kitchen.

We had IT tv first. I used to run home to watch the low budget movies that showed boobies. When my parents figured it out they switched to HBO. We had a special antenea on our roof to get the signal. This was before everybody got cable.

Romas taught me how to get free pay per view by turning the television back a channel. I watched "Ruthless People" ten times.

I was not allowed to have atari, but my brother bought me colecovision when I was 14.

Everyone had regular cable before Dearborn Heights, I never had It or ON....but I had my Atari...& once Cable was available, we signed up instantly. But then we never had a microwave, or Beta, or VHS until I was 16ish! Got my first dish washer in 2004, before that I was the dishwasher.

Yeah Marc...the whole Twister Stidham thing was not that cool! I almost didn't date you because of it..hehe So did you ever get your girl tatoo on your shoulder. I hope not cuz how you gonna explain that to your little girl. BTW congradulations on the new bundle of joy...& good luck, girls are the worst.

Robert...most definately Sunday night after a carnival was the saddest part of childhood. I lived for those carnivals. I could never understand some of my fellow gender flirting w/those nasty as* grubs. (Hint...Marc dated one of those chics...another hint...she is the one I typed about a few weeks earlier during my jail story).

And work went well...I meet a 110 & a half year old women, I guess you start counting quarters again once you get that old. She couldn't hear for shit but had letters from Bush, Sentor Basham, Taylor Major, & NBC president.

And Dan...A social worker may work w/the same population as a psychiatrist, & psychologist...but I spend more time w/them & don't prescripe medications. I just make sure they get everything they need everywhere else. Also I am at a Bachelor level so I can not do therapy, I counsel & assess. Believe it or not...the higher you go the less contact you have w/the person...I like my status, I need the more direct contact. I will have mostly developmentally delayed but a few mentally impaired as well. The new job is contractual overseer for the guardianship, aka I do home visits to make sure they are being taken care of.

I remember shagging --- and to think I won't let my kids skateboard for fear they get hurt.

The cages were THE BEST!!!!

I feel it is very cold here and it was in the high 50's or 60's today. Now my husband wears shorts--I don't unless its 80 or 90.

Ok here is a do you remember--Laying out in the sun when it was 50 degrees...

April,

My favorite patient was 97 years old. 2 weeks before she was admitted to the nursing home she had been up on the roof of her house repairing it. She was APO'd because like alot of the admits there her family lied to her about where she was going--She had laid herself down in the floor for the 10th time that day--well, we couldn't leave her there so...1st we tried talking her into getting up...(like that worked) then we gave her a pillow and blanket and let her lay there--she still wouldn't get up--then we had to resort to physically lifting her up off the floor. She grabbed a handful of my hair and was pulling it as we were carrying her down the hall--everyone freaked out and I calmly told them it's o.k. I have a 2 year old who does this all the time. But so full of life at such a great age.

Hey hooker remember when we would go around and change peoples cable channels through there windows?

12/02/08 08:05 PM #1182

April Passen (Ochman)

Chris we actually already discussed that weeks prior! I use to do the same thing...I actually pulled it on Flohr's house a couple of times...wow just think how bad these kids of today have it...no imagination to come up w/something like that...no ability to prank phone call. Looking back, I'd give up the internet for the real life adventures we created.

Gwen...I had to older sisters...pulling hair was a way of life, survive. I actually am resilent to it, w/the exception of the right timing...I always liked a little hair pulling at the right time...hehe I'm a pervert.

Life just got extremely frustrating at my house...Our Dish DVR box is freezing up, gonna take a couple of days to get a replacement out to us...I am not a happy camper. To many shows to tape during the week.

12/02/08 08:39 PM #1184

Gwen Norman (Martin)

You have time to watch tv?? I am jealous.

12/02/08 08:41 PM #1185

Gwen Norman (Martin)

O.K. we have to create a lynch mob after my 18 year old....He just said "Y'all have a website?" I didn't know that y'all even knew what a computer was. When you were in school the computer took up a whole classroom." Guess I should have spanked him more.

April,

We don't get snow days...We get Hurricane days and the party that precedes them :-)

12/02/08 08:43 PM #1187

Gwen Norman (Martin)

Hooker--

Glad to see you made it there and back safely.

12/02/08 09:02 PM #1188

April Passen (Ochman)

Yeah & his ass didn't even bother to come get me to go egging! He stood me up...what a Hooker!

My dad use to love a good hurricane...both the college football team & the storms...He loved the adventure, say there was no need to get drunk, the euphoria & adrinline was enough to keep you high...some people sky dive, others bungie jump...my dad storm surfed.

12/02/08 09:04 PM #1189

April Passen (Ochman)

Gwen...I have DVR...I make time...usually about midnight to 5am is my TV time, or while the kids at school.

April Passen (Ochman)

Hey Stidham.. looking back at the top of the page...With saying MI people...you meant Michigan right? Cuz I just seem it & thought you sure as hell better not mean MI as Mentally Impaired!!!

12/02/08 10:27 PM #1191

Gwen Norman (Martin)

I think 99% of us are mentally impaired :-)

My first good Hurricane was Ivan and then I slept through the height of the storm. Had a few too many margaritas.
We had minimal property damage, no electricity for 3 or 4 days but, we have a generator. I guess it says something about yourself when the high point of your day is laying on the cold waterbed and watching Scooby-Doo movies.

12/02/08 10:29 PM #1192

Gwen Norman (Martin)

My other thought for the night is this...Isn't it odd how so many of us do not live in Michigan anymore? Here we have children knowing full well they will have to leave to have good jobs. Detroit is such a large area, it is just odd to me that so many migrated away.

12/02/08 11:19 PM #1193

April Passen (Ochman)

Ok first off Gwen, the job situation here in MI SUCKS! I just happen to be lucky that during the hardest of times, my job need is increased...kinda bitter sweet.

2nd...My dad lived in the Keys...just about every hurricane touched him even if just a soft rain. And about Alabama...my uncle lives in Enterprise, his daughter was in the hallway where 6 kids were killed during the BIG tornado March 1st 2007. Thank the lord she is ok, but it messed her up a little emotionally. Could you imagine at age almost 17 having people die that are sitting kitty corner across from you? Yeah...I take my snow, ice & nasty grey!

Ok I forgot to tell you all of my exciting holiday weekend! I stayed up from 11pm till 10am Saturday into Sunday coloring all the white lights on my tree, all 600 of them red, green & blue! That was my highLIGHT of the holiday, my ending to serving those w/the flu.
