Robert-After reading your comments on this forum; I agree that you are a back office worker or maybe an independent fix it guy. The hand shake with all the strangers alone would probably push you over the edge...LOL

Rob...Did you watch a lot of old Marx Brothers movies when you were a kid...I can picture you sort of "skipping" across the gym during a pep rally or something and it brings to mind Groucho Marx.

April Passen (Ochman)

Robert if it makes ya feel any better...I hate the movie theaters. Not only do you have to worry about who dripped what in the seats, fear of your hair touching the seat... I like to (excuse the expression) piss, shit, pause for pepsi & rewind when I wanna. Thats why my butt loves my DVR! It might take me 1 hour to watch a 16 minute show minus comericals, but I get to actually watch the whole show! With kids they know just when the climax of a movie is coming & that is the time to talk.

Dan...I don't know what your weather conditions are like out there, but we have been under like 8 inches on heavy, nasty snow & we've been getting more today! YUCK & YIKES I have had to go out twice shopping in this crap, plus go do my home visits for work! People just suck! Only like 1 nice person for every 15 you come in contact. Good luck to you with the holiday crowds, my heart bleeds for you cuz I'm sure it sucks being on the other side of the counter.

I did customer service for the first time in a long time this summer! I worked at Comerica Park during the Tiger Games for my daughter's ice skating company. I did the dip'n'dots, beer cart, & hot dog stand. Now everyone is nice at the beer stand, even when the machine runs out & sprays everyone, until they close it in the bottom of the 7th, then everyone gets nasty! But wow, I could only do it like twice a month, & every time I would say this is my last time. The hardest part is when you close the stands...& charging $5 for a small ass ice cream. But everyone is cool w/8.75 for a beer.

April,

I don't think it is just holiday crowds--Hence why I have a 3 day limit when I come up there--3 minutes if I get off the plane and it is cold. Rude people piss me off. It is quite funny when you think about it....I use all my manner words and say ma'am and sir; but I am still enough of a Yankee to let someone know when they piss me off. It is a dangerous combination LOL

Weather here...suppose to be 70 and rain tomorrow, Christmas and Friday.

Favorite Corny ( and yes they were corny) was 16 candles.

Perfect Christmas gift for Hooker--An industrial size bottle of germ-ex.

Another Hooker comment--I received my B.A. from a Methodist college so I had to have religion classes (8 more credit hours and I would have had a minor in religion) anyway one of my instructors was a huge AC/DC fan so I think Hooker could have been the cool priest- :-)

Worst Christmas present is when you don't get any....

April Passen (Ochman)

I got another great Hooker present- Protective seat covers for the toliet at work, & boxes of latex gloves. Geeze you sure are easy to shop for Robert! Merry Christmas these are my gifts in thought...LOL

Hey Hooker, I got an invention for ya...know how they have lysol wipes, how bout a small little can if a spray bleach or lysol can, kinda like the Tide to go?

To all...Have a Merry Christmas! God Bless you & yours! And hopefully no one over spend on their spoiled ungrateful children like I did, leaving the bills unpaid...how fun is all the electronic w/out the electricity...ROFL My kids w/be the envy of the Cardboard box neighborhood we will need to move too.

My wife worked for Pfizer before we moved to PA, and she bought me (must have been) a 1 gallon jug of Purell for my 30th birthday. I almost cried.

Shannon: I'm definitely not a back office worker. My wife calls me 'mute' because the last thing I want to do is talk or deal w/ people. Happy Holidays (ha)!

I don't like 'ROFL'. It makes me think of vomit for some reason.

Tracey Ulrich (Dawson)

I still find you incredibly attractive for your cleanliness Robert.

One of the most handsome/attractive men I've known used to take his own sheets with him to hotels when he traveled. He used to work in the hotel industry. Sometimes he would check into his room, buy a coke from the vending machine and pour it out onto the bedspread. He would then call the front desk and ask for a new one. He liked his bedding clean.

12/24/08 09:20 AM #1553

Robert Hooker

Yes.

I've watched too many Dateline and Prime Time shows, i.e., the episodes where they use the black light to expose (fill in the blank) in hotel rooms - bed spreads, phones, ceilings!

In general, people gross me out.

12/24/08 10:08 AM #1554

April Passen (Ochman)

Oh the therapy that is needed in this site! My hubby can't stand to watch the Oprah episodes that have that type of exposure, it grosses him out & makes it harder to venture out in the real world. Mind you my hubby drives around from place to place for a living, mostly Detroit, takes a big gatorate bottle to use for rest room, refused to even stand & piss in nasty places!

I'll use LOL(laughing out loud) & lmao (laughing my ass off) instead of rolf (rolling on the floor laughing), sound better Robert?

Tracey- My Mom was driving me back up from Michigan one time & we stopped off at a Hotel in Tennesse...I pull back the sheets, & there was a tick in the bed. I pissed my mom off so bad, cuz I refused to stay in the hotel. So she insisted that she had to sleep & we went to another. I could not sleep the entire trip, and showered w/a scrub brush when I got home! I have sensitive skin & anything to do w/making my skin itch, is my phobia.

Tracey- it's been forever since Bill has been back on. You used the in Florida for November excuse for him, but I really think we just scared him off w/all the school girl uniform thing!?!

I have a funny mouse story, and I hate them. They freak me out.

Me and my wife were at the cabin about 7 years ago, and there was a nasty smell coming from the blankets (folded up and on the pillow). If I turned my head about an inch, it went away.

Anyway, the next morning I took the blankets to the laundry mat. Right in the middle of the place, I opened up them up (to get 'em ready for the wasjer) and a dead mouse flew out and landed near a few old ladies. They screamed, I screamed, and we almost died laughing afterward.

Needless to say, I asked one of the blue hairs to pick it up. I wasn't going near it.

Tracey Ulrich (Dawson)

I'm off to "holiday" with the Ulrichs

12/24/08 02:25 PM #1558

Gwen Norman (Martin)

Hooker--I don't think that is that you don't like people I think that you like a few very exclusive people very much and you just can't waste your time on the rest. I think if you like someone, truly like someone you are a most faithful and loyal friend. I think if you meet someone and you don't like them you just don't don't give them the time of day. I don't think you have an abnormal germ phobia because a lot of the things that gross you out gross me out too; and I know I am normal -----LMAO

12/24/08 03:42 PM #1559

Robert Hooker

You are good.

I'm not proud of it, but I only have a couple of good friends. My wife gets upset w/ me because I don't socialize w/ our neighbors and don't enjoy hanging out w/ her friends. I'm also terrible at returning phone calls.

I really am a nice person, but just need to shut it down outside of work.

Merry Christmas!

Shannon Krych (Hofer)

Thanks for the great mouse story Robert... I'm still laughing.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope Santa is good to all of you.

12/24/08 05:25 PM #1561

April Passen (Ochman)

Robert...I have the same complaint about my hubby. He is not a overly social person either unless you are one of the few choosen ones. I pick on him about it all the time, but actually, I think he & you are playing it safer then I...too trusting & friendly can get you let down alot! I have the problem w/giving everyone the benefit of the doubt.

Shannon, Tracey, Dan, Gwen, Tara, Michele & Robert...the regulars....Have an absolutly wonderful Christmas...& to the rest of you gawkers....Just have a good Christmas! Speak up darn it. Wow I must be in the Christmas spirit...I didn't sware once today! At least in writing.

O.K. just finished baking----

Hooker,

My husband is the same way...He either loves ya or he wouldn't pee on you if you were on fire. Such is life...See I am selfish, it just means more me time.

12/25/08 06:18 AM #1563

Gwen Norman (Martin)

OK my Christmas present was the pager going off at 4 am. If it had been a fire I would have had to lament about the poor people who lost everything in a fire. Since it was a false alarm........I get to complain about the damn thing waking up my 9 year old and the dog...So. now I am up for the day. So.......

Merry Christmas to All!!!!!!!

Enjoy your day with family and friends.

p.s. Santa leaving the dogs those annoying squeaky toys was not a good idea.

Merry Christmas!

I'm at work, listening to 'Defenders of the Faith' by Judas Priest. It reminds me of driving around before/after the float meetings at Rob Nicholl's house...ahhhh the good ol' days.

12/26/08 11:51 AM #1566

April Passen (Ochman)

Ok now that I put that out there, Robert I said don't judge..LOL I'm headed into work. Wow, I know I have a problem w/disclosing to much, but look at it this way, I must really trust all of ya to tell one of my most embrassing moments too. Shannon, your right...therapy in humor form!

12/26/08 01:28 PM #1567

Robert Hooker

Dear Crabbie,

Discontinue any communication or contact w/ this guy or anyone else other than your husband. It'll avoid a lot of drama and hurt feelings.

Happy Holidays!

Hmmmmm. wow. really need to keep track of this site on a daily basis.

B&N (insiders call it that) is really not bad. Most people are really happy when you find that last minute gift like "Barry Manilow sings songs of the 80's"

Once in awhile you get attitudes. Teachers are truly the worst to deal with.

I was supposed to close tues. but when I found out they would not be letting us leave until after 12:30a.m. I split. It was my last night and my buddies were at the bar waiting for me.

Hooker you probably would not be a good candidate for teaching. My 9th graders (boys) are Nasty. I announce every year that spraying your body with Axe does not replace showering.

By the way tonight I am writing this from Mill Hall Pennsyltucky. Hooker, I will wave when I pass the Pittsburgh exit on I-80.

Merry Christmas 88's and God Bless.

Dan, Mike will be glad to see you. I saw him on Christmas Eve and he said no one in the world makes him laugh as much as you and David. Have a good visit home.
