Michael was one of the sweetest persons I've known!! He never judged me or anyone for that matter. He was a dear friend and someone I could always count on! Back in the days we all went through different experiences and struggles that our classmates never knew or feel the pain some of us caused each other. He would be there for me and stay up almost all through the night talking with me on the phone because he knew I needed someone!! He always made me smile and feel good!! He fits the quote "only the good die young!" I remember his funeral and all of you that were there. There was a sense of great loss in that room and all of us felt it!!! He is in my prayers at night and I still talk to him. He touched my soul and I'm sure he touched many!! Thank you Michael for being there for someone that really needed you!! Love Kelly McDonnell

Michael Sherman was a friend to so many. You didn't have to be his best friend in order to receive the best from him. He was kind, genuine and authentic - a roll model for so many. I guess you could say, he was a man even when he was just a boy. This world suffered a great loss when Michael made his exit.

It might seem strange to some, and maybe not so much to others, but every so often (say every few years) Michael just pops up through my dreams! It was kinda scary at first, but the more I learn about life and its unknown mysteries, I figure God is in control and he is just reminding me of my past! Michael was a great guy who liked to tease me alot! How did I let him get away with that? ha

Looking at his picture brings back so many memories. I hope my son becomes the kind of boy michael was a friend to all...he died before becoming a man but was genuine beyond his years. I remember his funeral and how sad we all were but also how many great memories we had. What a great person, that is all that matters in life...how great a person you are.

I often have michael pop up in my thoughts and sometimes I feel he visits me in my dreams. Without question one of the saddest days ever was saying goodbye to Michael. I remember the days at Levagood pool with Mike and his younger brothers and what a great role model he was to them. I'll always remember Mike's incredibly thick head of hair and his teasing me about my high hair line it seems Mike knew I was losing it years before I did, he took great pleasure in lifting my hair and spanking me on the forehead. Mike and I seemed to attract the same type of girls , problem was when they saw him it was pretty much curtains for me, in spite of the fact he might not be interested. I regret not spending more time with when I had the chance because I miss him.
