Betty was employed by both Decatur City and Morgan County School Systems. She was also the manager of Procter Fence Company.

Betty had a big heart and loving personality. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She had a talent for being able to brighten up a room with her contagious smile and warm hugs all while ensuring everyone felt like family. Betty was an avid dancer with a love for disco music and Elvis. Her favorite dance partner was her husband J.C. and talking about the memories of them dancing together would give her the biggest grin. You could also catch her dancing in the kitchen to her favorite song, “Dancing in the Moonlight” while cooking. She was a wonderful cook and made the best banana pudding and chicken and dressing you would ever taste. She loved her family unconditionally and was everyone’s biggest fan. She never missed an event that pertained to her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

Non (Betty) was a wonderful wife and best friend to her husband J.C for 63 years. She was a kind and loving mother to both of her children. She will forever be the perfect Nonnie to her 3 grandchildren all of whom she loved to the moon and back. She was adored by everyone who met her. Above all she will be remembered and loved by all who were lucky enough to have experienced one of her warm hugs, and her ability to brighten a room.
