Howell Booth Holland, age 74, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1959. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Athens (AL) College and his Banking degree from LSU School of the South. He worked in Banking and Insurance for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Booth and Louis Wade Holland; brother, Billy Ray Holland. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Banks Holland; sons Howell Booth Holland, Jr. (Jeannine) and Thomas Reeder Holland (Whitney); four grandchildren, Howell III, Jackson, Hudson and Mary Wylie, brothers, James Ted Holland (Harriet), Hoyt John Holland and a sister, Judy Westmoreland (Kenneth) all of Decatur, Alabama. He also had a number of nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 7 at 3:00 in the Chapel. Visitation will begin at 2:00, also in the Chapel.
