The Class of 59 extends its prayers and condolences to the family of Jimmy Stone upon his passing. Below is an obituary from The Decatur Daily.
TRINITY — Funeral for Jimmy Stone, 74, of Trinity will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Stone, who died Saturday, July 9, 2016, was born Aug. 24, 1941 in Lawrence County to James and Christine Stone. He worked for Wolverine Tube for 15 years then went on to Delphi where he retired in 2007. He was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler for the past 56 years. He bowled at AMF River City Lanes.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis ‘Honey’ Stone; son, James Chad Stone; three daughters, Deann Saint and husband, Allen, Tonja Yambriek and Michelle Michael Russo; three sisters, Charlotte Suess, Brenda Mills and Mary Johnson; and seven grandchildren.
