What could one say about Sid? He was a rascal, and a maverick in many ways.. he lived down the street from me and I spent many many hours in the company of this "maverick". He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it, and was always doing things for my folks that would suprise them. One of my mom's friends got drunk one night and ran over my stepdad's prized rock garden by the driveway, and wrecked it. Sid came over the next day and helped my stepdad clean up the mess, and put new plants in. On the other hand, he could be a party boy! Once when my folks left town for the weekend, he decided we should have a beer bust at my house. In true Tom Cruise fashion, we had a houseful of kids there, and the beer was flowing. Unfortunately, we didn't stop to think that our neighbors would figure out what was going on, and let my folks know! Boy, did I get grounded for that one. I spent a lot of time at Sid's house too with him and his brothers. It is hard to fathom that all of them are gone now. I would love to have seen him at the reunion, and true to form, he would probably be organizing the "party"! I will miss you there Sid, and look forward to a few celebrations of the Heavenly sort.

I remember going to Sid's home our last semester to study for exams. There were several of us but I cannot remember them.Sid always had plenty of food for us. Thank goodness we passed. The fall of 1959 I left for college in a 1955 Chevy, boy was it sharp, but I could not afford the payments or the insurance.Sid bought my car around Christmas of 1959.I will always be grateful to him.
