Scott Carpenter Davis, 42, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 4, 2013. He was born in Lenoir County on June 15, 1970 to Charles and Sandra Davis. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Charles Davis Sr. and Grandmother Dorothy Davis, Grandfather Butler Moore. Scott was employed at Electrolux in Kinston. He was an outgoing person who loved fishing and all types of outdoor activities; he was loved by all and will be truly missed by many but never forgotten. He was a very dedicated UNC Tarheel fan but most of all Scott will be remembered has a person with a heart as good as gold, who never met a stranger and always left a every lasting impression on your heart. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Sandra Davis, brother and best friend Kevin Davis all of Kinston; special friends Gary Johnson and Tracy Marshburn of Pink Hill and many other close friends from Sandy Bottom. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivy White and Rev. Joe Lyles officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be on Monday, April 8, at 11:00 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
