GOLDSBORO - Cynthia Stallings, 40, of Goldsboro, passed away on September 6, 2010, at her home. Ms. Stallings was a loving, devoted mother and sister. Ms. Stallings was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Grace Smith; two sisters, Portia Hill and Wanda Lewis; a niece, Erica Davis; and a nephew, Kris Carlyle. Survivors include a son, Cody Stallings and a fiancé Michael Bailey, of Goldsboro. Mrs. Stallings is also survived by a sister, Terry Allison of Kinston; three brothers, William E. "Billy" Smith and wife Donna, of Deep Run, Anthony Smith and wife Karen, Randy Smith and wife Kathy, of Kinston; two brothers –in-law, Dee Lewis of Newport and Glenn Hill of Kinston; and Cody's father Duane Stallings. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Smith, 1536 Smith Grady Road, Deep Run, N.C., on Friday, September 10, 2010. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Cody Stallings Education Fund at First Citizens Bank, 800 N.
