Very nice article. Thank-you Josh for sharing. I remember John fondly when we were sort of on the outside looking in. Somewhat quiet, but a very nice guy when you dug a little. The art and teaching come as no surprise, but I wouldn't have guessed the mountaineering. RIP.
I didn't know John well even though we shared Deerfield, Dartmouth and some years in Northern New England. Like Bill I recall his quiet confidence and interest in art. As I say too often nowadays I'm sorry I did not know him better.
