Alicia D. Thomas, 55, departed this life Sunday, October 26, 2014. Her life will be celebrated 11am Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 514 West Beresford Avenue, DeLand, Reverend Melvin L. Young, host pastor and Dr. Wendell H. Raulerson, officiating. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 4pm to 7pm at Cusack Mortuary and Saturday from 10am until service time at the church. Burial will follow the services at Union Cemetery. Alicia was born February 12, 1959 to Willie C. McCoy & Hazel Thomas McKiver (deceased). She graduated from DeLand Senior High and Daytona Beach Community College. She was a member of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church, DeLand and Salvation & Deliverance Church, Norcross, Georgia. Alicia was employed as an Enrollment Specialist, Ashworth College. She was also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Survivors include: Her loving and devoted children: Daughter: Ashley Thomas (Coyera Bonaventure); son: Aireus Thomas (Kelly); Brothers: Delrick Thomas (Linda), Theron McKiver (Tracey); a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
