John George was one of Alan's best friends! We miss him dearly and have wonderful memories of our times together. He passed away tragically in the fall of 1987 while working in a nuclear power plant.

John was an absolute freak of nature!! He, Jon Knobbe and I spent our entire junior year driving from party to party listen to Richard Pryor and drinking whatever we could get our hands on!! He dropped me off one night at 1:00am and drove all the way up my dad's front yard to the front door to drop me off. As he was yelling to me that I forgot my bottle of Seagrams, Wally opened the door!!! If you remember my dad you can guess what happened to me!!! The three of us also drove his father's station wagon into a lake on Military Trail. We all bailed out and then remebered Keith Washington was passed out in the back seat. JG dove back in to get him. When he got married in Lousiana we had a week long bachelor party. Myself, Alan Armour, Howard Ellingsworth, Fred Bonardi, his cousin Ricky George (I think I'm forgetting someone else) all headed to LA and what a week it was!!
He was one of a kind and the world is a sorrier place without him.

John was a highly regarded, long-time member of our "small town" community, as well as a fellow classmate. My father grew up with some of his family members, who have always been highly regarded in the community as well. After graduating, I would occasionally see John around town (sometimes at 7-eleven) and no matter who he was with, or what he was doing, he would go out of his way to be friendly and come over to the car and say hello. His untimely passing has been a tremedous loss for all of us. He will always be remembered as a fun-loving, easy to be around, friendly and non-pretentious kind of guy.

Got to meet John while I was still imprisoned at Rosarian Academy.....Remember him well as he was such a gentleman and treated me like a princess. Fred and Barbara and the two of us had an awful lot of fun back then....it was with great saddness when I learned of his passing. His obit is still on my refrigerator -- his passing was August 14, so let us all keep him fresh in our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends that he left behind.

I will always love John George and have a whole scrapbook of him... It's still too hard for me to talk of his passing, but I know he looks down on us and smiles!
