Larry E. Boomer passed away on February 24, 2011 at home.  He was born April 24, 1950 in Hastings, the son of Richard Boomer and Joy (Hart) Lewis.  Larry served in the US Army and was a loyal employee of James River Paper Co. until his retirement in 2010.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors, spending time with family and especially playing Sanata for children at Christmas.  Larry is survived by his brothers, Brent Hayward, Robert Lewis Jr.,; a sister, Julie (Lynch) Hayward, stepfather, Robert Lewis Sr., stepbrothers, John Lewis, Richard Lewis, and stepsisters, Janice Lewis and Becky Bozell.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Boomer.  A graveside service was conducted Friday, March 4, 2011 at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
