Mike Bourdo - Class Of 1968

Obituary

Michael Ray Bourdo, aged 69, died June 1st 2019 in his home in Orangeville.

He was born April 3rd 1950 to Raymond Earl Bourdo and Juliet May Bourdo. He attended Delton Kellogg schools and grew up working on the family potato farm, which he eventually took over with his brother, Jeff, before selling it in the early 90s. He was drafted into the army during the Vietnam war, spending much of that time in Germany driving tanks as a border guard. It was here that he picked up his love for guitar and travel, and he loved to tell stories from this time. After serving his time in the army, he returned home and married Gail Kahllo; they went on to happily raise their two daughters. Mike loved cooking for his family, caring for his pets, and spending time with friends. He had an adventurous spirit and a passion for flight in many forms. He had a great sense of humor and a caring and gentle nature, as well as a serious sweet tooth. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Julie. He is survived by his loving daughters Brooke and Hannah Bourdo and his brothers Alan (Gail), Jeff (Beth), and Matt (Lucy).

He will be missed by many more.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
