Margie (Darlene), was my neighber for years. We had a lot of fun together. One Summer Margie went with my family to our farm in Oklahoma. We had a blast. While my Mom and Dad were gone, Margie and I climbed the old windmill to the platform at the top. We posed and took pictures of each other. What a stupid thing for us to have done. If my parents had known, we would have been in deep poo, poo. I need to dig out the pictures of that weekend trip.
Margie's mom called me to tell me that Margie had passed away and I was so shocked I didn't even ask about Margie's family. If any of you know about her children, husband, etc. I would like to know .
Does any of her family still live around Derby?
Margie was a nice kid. I still think of her quite often.

Margie's Parents and my Parents are friends, and had worked together at Boeing.
I always liked Margie and we were friends.
Although I never seen or heard from Margie after we graduated.
Margie's Parents sold their house and moved to Oklahoma due to the property taxes being cheaper, after they retired. They told my Parents that the house the bought in Oklahoma was a lot nicer than the brick home they had lived in, at Derby. My Parents and her Parents keep in touch. Margie's Mother "Edith" called my Mother and ask her to let me know that Margie had died with massive heart failure. I was totally shocked..... with a numbness of mind I kept asking Mother, are you sure? Guess I went into somewhat of a de-nile of it all. I did tell my Mother to let Margie's Parents know how sorry I was. Looking back I am so ashamed of myself, for I didn't send flowers, card, nor would I really even ex-knowledge the fact, that she had died, let alone attend the funeral. I just could not at that time except the concept of it all. Death has never been an easy thing for me. Even though I know, that for the ones that are saved through Jesus Christ will be in Heaven with the Lord. (For this reason it is so important to me, that everyone be told about Jesus and given the opportunity to accept Jesus as their personal savior.) It's the earth bound human side of me that wants them back.
Just a few years back I learned from my Mother that Margie's Father "Sam" had a stroke.
Other than that I don't upfront know any more but could probably find out if any one wants to know anything pacific.

P.S.
Now that I'm getting "old"er, the death thing is getting easier to deal with,
but doesn't mean I have to like it.
