DERBY-Mitchell, Donna Lynn 68, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday; Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Interment at a later date in Valpraiso, Indiana. Donna was known for her smile, up-beat personality, and her love for the Lord, and was a longtime member of Praise Assembly of God. She worked as a hydraulic mechanic at U.S. Steel for 16 years. Preceded in death by parents, Wayne Edwin and Lola Ruth Canfield; husband, Mitch Mitchell; and brother, Ronnie Canfield. Survived by children, James (Patricia) Johnson, Franklin (Carol) Mitchell; stepchildren, Phyllis Kimmel, John (Brenda) Mitchell, Perry (Janet) Mitchell; granddaughters, Amanda and Samantha; sister, Connie Register; and brother, Chris (Jema) Canfield. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with American Diabetes Association, 608 W. Douglas Ave. #100, Wichita, KS 67203.
