Steve and I knew each other, although we didn't run with the same crowd at school. He seemed to have great many friends. I remember when his plane went down killing all those people and wiping out the whole team, including Steve. It was quite a shock to all in Derby for we were all proud of his accomplishments. I know although that was many years ago he is still being missed today by his family and friends.

Always, a smile on his face, and a good attitude. One of the best, and most fun people that I have ever been around. The world lost more than just a good football player. It lost a great person. I think of him often.
